Flood disaster 2021 – donations for the historic watermill

Dear mill friends,

As we have already told you in the last few days, the historic watermill was completely destroyed in most areas by the floods. Unfortunately, there will be no operation for a long time.

Thanks to the great support of many helpers, the first clean-up work could start and we will hopefully bring it to a good end. However, this alone will take a few weeks and the subsequent rebuilding will be a tough financial affair for us. We hope for insurance compensation and also for the promised emergency aid from the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament.

But you, too, dear guests, can help us a lot with a donation if you would donate to us the vouchers you have already purchased and which cannot be redeemed for the next 12 months anyway. Donations are also very welcome. In the last few days, a lot of people have already done this in a friendly way. Every time the voucher is not redeemed, Mühle Birgel will receive a lot of financial help.

We thank you in the name of everyone in the mill for your support and of course we will let you know in good time as soon as we know more about the reopening of the mill.
