Gift box with our home-brewed mill beer

During the closure of the mill due to the pandemic, our head miller Erwin had plenty of time to think about something: brewing beer on the mill premises. Should he include his brewing skills in the historic watermill’s offerings? The head miller decided to do this and installed his own brewing system with a wood-fired brewing boiler.

 

“Birth” of the Mühlenbier

He rebuilt the system himself according to old conditions and models. This was the “birth” of mill beer and the beer purity law on the mill site. The head miller’s brewing skills and the quality of the two types of mill beer he brews himself are now known far beyond the country’s borders.
